- Develop, test, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment by applying knowledge of mechanical engineering technology.
- Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products.
- Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components.
- Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and any recommendations]
- Efficient repairs: Prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure that all kitchen equipment is back in service quickly, minimizing disruption to kitchen operations.
- Emergency response: Respond quickly to urgent repair needs, such as equipment breakdowns during peak hours, ensuring minimal downtime for kitchen staff.
- Scheduling: Manage preventive maintenance schedules to ensure that tasks are completed during off-hours or low-traffic periods to avoid disrupting kitchen service.
- Design, build, install and service mechanical machinery, components and tools
- Ensure quality inspections are carried out in line with company standards
- Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

- Electrical systems: Knowledge of electrical systems and circuits used in kitchen appliances, including troubleshooting electrical issues safely.
- HVAC systems: Familiarity with kitchen ventilation and exhaust systems, including range hoods, grease filters, and air conditioning units.
- Plumbing systems: Ability to repair and maintain plumbing systems related to kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers, sinks, and water filtration systems.
