Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented AV Technician to join our team at SO/ Uptown Dubai. As an AV Technician you will be responsible for operating maintaining and repairing audio visual and lighting equipment throughout our facility. This role requires a professional approach efficient problemsolving skills and a strong customer focus.
- Operate maintain and repair all audio visual and lighting equipment
- Respond promptly to work requests prioritizing those related to health and safety
- Ensure optimal performance of AV and lighting equipment through regular preventive maintenance
- Evaluate and respond to equipment usage and energy efficiency concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily log books shop drawings and equipment catalogs
- Assist in setting up and operating AV equipment for various events and meetings
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless AV operations
- Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry best practices
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications :
- Secondary School diploma plus Technical College degree or equivalent in AudioVisual Technology or a related field
- Proven experience in operating maintaining and repairing audio visual and lighting equipment
- Strong knowledge of modern AV systems and technologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Familiarity with digital AV systems and control interfaces
- Good communication skills in English both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Customeroriented approach with the ability to work well under pressure
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in AV environments
