We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Sales Engineer with a focus on Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Solutions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the EV charging sector and will play a key role in driving sales providing technical expertise and delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise
- Demonstrate indepth knowledge of EV charging systems including hardware software and infrastructure requirements.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to design and propose EV charging solutions that align with technical and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and address technical queries from clients during the sales cycle.
Sales Development
- Identify and target potential customers including commercial residential and public sector clients.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets.
- Deliver impactful technical presentations and live demonstrations of EV charging solutions.
Customer Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and followup to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as a trusted advisor for clients navigating EV infrastructure implementation.
Market Analysis
- Monitor and analyze industry trends market demands and competitive offerings.
- Provide feedback to the product development team to enhance EV charging solutions.
Proposal & Contract Management
- Prepare and present detailed proposals including technical specifications project timelines and cost estimates.
- Negotiate contracts with clients ensuring a winwin outcome.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of Insert Years experience in technical sales with preferred experience in the EV charging sector.
- Familiarity with EV charging technologies standards (e.g. OCPP IEC SAE) and installation requirements.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of EV charging systems and renewable energy solutions.
- Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.
- Other:
- Valid driver s license and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Handson experience with EV charging infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of grid integration energy storage systems or solarpowered charging solutions.
- Connections within the EV charging or renewable energy markets.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical or related field).
- Advanced certifications in sales EV technologies or renewable energy (preferred).
Experience
- Proven track record in technical sales with 3 to 5 years of experience (preferably in the EV charging renewable energy or related sectors).
- Handson experience with EV infrastructure projects or technical solution design (preferred for EVspecific roles).
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of product design installation and operation (specific to EV charging or relevant products). ( preffered)
- Familiarity with industry standards protocols and technologies (e.g. OCPP IEC standards for EV charging).( preffered)
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot) and basic project management software.
Sales Skills
- Excellent presentation negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Experience developing and executing sales strategies.
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong communication and relationshipbuilding abilities.
