Job Description

Our client a leading organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Associate Legal Counsel with a minimum of 7 years of work experience postqualification. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with toptier organizations or law firms in the UAE. This role requires a dynamic legal professional fluent in English and Arabic who can provide corporate legal support manage contracts and assist the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate legal support to the companys corporate teams.
  • Manage and administer the companys contracts.
  • Contribute to the development of a legal and regulatory strategy to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
  • Develop review and negotiate agreements contracts and relevant legal documentation for corporate and business functions.
  • Assist in delivering legal training programs for the company.
  • Manage and report legal spend related to deals new projects joint ventures etc. ensuring accurate reporting to the General Counsel for efficient platformlevel legal budget management.


Requirements

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Law from an internationally reputable university.
  • Admission to practice in the UAE or an internationally recognized jurisdiction.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience postqualification.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory).
  • Proven ability to negotiate and structure effective agreements and contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to advise and guide management teams on legal issues with an emphasis on enabling business growth while managing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to create and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze complex corporate legal issues.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated resultsoriented and capable of managing projects effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team under time constraints.
  • Strong drive to develop improved and efficient processes.

To be considered for this role, you have to meet the following criteria: Bachelor's degree in any related field preferred but not a must. Proficiency in administrative applications as well as graphic and presentation software. A minimum of 10 years of experience in general administrative and/or clerical work preferably within the financial services industry. Preferably with experience in assisting a team in Equities and Active Investments department. With impeccable written and verbal communication skills as well as a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Exceptional organizational skills, adeptly managing calendars, appointments, and records. Strong database management abilities, ensuring data integrity and seamless retrieval.
