Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the landscape architecture division, aligning team goals with company objectives and client expectations.
  • Lead the conceptualization, design development, and implementation of complex landscape architecture projects, integrating site analysis, cultural context, and sustainability principles.
  • Manage project teams, resources, and budgets effectively to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality design standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the development of design concepts, presentations, and design documentation, ensuring alignment with client vision, project requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to junior and mid-level staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, planners, and environmental specialists, to integrate landscape design seamlessly into larger development projects.
  • Lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking activities, to expand the company's portfolio and market presence in landscape architecture.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture and urban design, contributing to thought leadership and innovation within the industry.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards governing landscape architecture projects in the Middle East region, and mitigate project risks through proactive management strategies.

Desired candidate profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects in the Middle East region.
  • Extensive experience in the design of landscaping, public realm, and streetscape projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience in managing project teams, budgets, and schedules to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire, motivate, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and GIS applications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sustainable design principles, green building standards, and environmental regulations relevant to landscape architecture projects in the Middle East.
  • Fluency in English is required.
