- Lead and manage the hire desk team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
- Develop and implement effective hire desk processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
- Monitor team performance against sales targets and KPIs, providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and operational alignment.
- Maintain accurate records of all hire desk activities, including bookings, inventory management, and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing a team
- Strong experience in using Excel - pivot table / Vlook up / Hlook Up
- Experience in creating various reports and providing analysis to management
- As it is expected that there will be several situations/challenges in the yard, the person should be a quick thinker and able to handle stress
- Able to develop multiple initiatives to help optimize the operation
- Flexible and willing to work outside the regular working hours when needed
- Willing to work in a predominantly male environment
- Willing to deal with drivers/technicians
