- Create and develop a diverse and enticing Dim Sum menu, showcasing traditional flavors and contemporary twists, using the finest ingredients and culinary techniques
- Prepare and cook a variety of Dim Sum dishes with precision and attention to detail ensuring each item reflects authenticity, quality, and creativity
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and/or refine Dim Sum recipes
- Maintain strict standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation in accordance with policies and regulations at all times
- Lead and inspire a team of talented Chefs, guiding them in the art of Dim Sum preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency in every dish
- Collaborate with restaurant management and other culinary teams to develop seasonal menus, special promotions, and/or themed dining events
- Stay abreast about current culinary trends and techniques, to enhance the Dim Sum menu and elevate the guest experience
Qualifications And Requirements
- Proven experience as Executive Dim Sum Chef or in a similar role in a five-star luxury hotel operation or high-volume restaurant environment
- Hotel pre-opening experience in the UAE is preferable, while Michelin-star restaurant experience is an advantage
- With extensive knowledge of Dim Sum ingredients, preparation methods, cooking techniques, presentation styles and trends, with a passion for creativity and innovation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative kitchen environment
- Creative and willing to innovate for menu development, with a passion for exploring new flavors while respecting the authenticity of traditional Dim Sum cuisine
