What you'll do

- You will play an integral role in providing a positive and memorable experience for all our Spa and Wellness visitors and hotel guests
- Provide essential support to the Spa and Wellness facility working closely with its department head and spa team (and other departments collaboratively) to ensure a seamlessly smooth running of its operations and beyond
- Act as a role model to junior level recreation team members, mentoring and training new starters and existing Legends while supporting the Director of Spa at all times as well as attending leadership meetings in her absence, delegating where and when necessary, with competency and confidence
- Supervise and manage recreational Legends (attendants, lifeguards and personal trainers)
- Plan and implement recreational programs and events, demonstrating budgeting and financial management
- Coordinate with other hotel departments and organizations to deliver the best guest experience
- Maintain all SOP’s records ensuring they are up to date and implement necessary changes.
- Ensure the safety of all members and guests who visit the gym and pool areas
- Maintain the Spa and Wellness facilities and equipment to a high usable standard avoiding breakages and hazards
- Oversee operations and service delivery of the designated recreation facilities and participatory programs
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the pool and gym operations
- Closely monitor KPIs and provide statistical reports to the Director of Spa when needed
- Analyze financial performance and assist in budget planning
- Collaborate with the Director of Spa on strategic planning, marketing initiatives and revenue generating strategies.
- Conduct staff training, mentor the Wellness team and actively promote incentives to improve performance and contributions to the department revenue
- Assist in employees performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for growth and development
- Assist the Spa and Wellness operations when needed
- Implement daily/weekly/monthly cleaning and maintenance checklists for all relevant employees and ensure all tasks are acted upon
- Ensure all recreational areas are clean and tidy, properly set up and presented at all times
- Participate in achieving individual and departmental targets optimizing revenue in the upselling of services and retail products by offering relevant recommendations to our guests, confidently
- Demonstrate an exceptional guest service, promptly addressing and satisfactorily resolving guest concerns or issues ensuring all needs are met and exceeded

What you'll bring
- You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the Spa and Wellness team
- Strong leadership skills gained through previous supervisory or entry managerial roles in a luxury spa environment
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in spa therapy techniques, client consultation and product knowledge.
- Previous therapist background will be an advantage
- Ability to effectively train and mentor employees
- Experience in handling complex guests issues, resolving conflict and maintaining a positive work environment
- Possess good team spirit, empathy and be guest-centric
- You might need to cover spa treatments bookings if required
- Familiarity with administrative tasks such as employees scheduling, performance evaluations, and PNL responsibilities within a spa setting.
- Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You will have great skills in this area with a strong customer service ethic and know of its importance.
- English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
