We are seeking a Sr. Estimation Engineer E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our prestigious clients team in Abu Dhabi.
Job Summary: As a Senior Estimation Engineer you will be responsible for estimating the costs associated with E&I projects ensuring competitiveness in bids and providing technical support throughout the tendering process.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate project requirements specifications and scope to understand the Electrical & Instrumentation aspects of the project.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for E&I components of projects including materials equipment labor and overhead costs ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with the bid management team to prepare comprehensive and competitive bids for E&I projects ensuring alignment with client requirements and specifications.
- Assist in the development of technical proposals for E&I projects including technical specifications methodologies and engineering solutions.
- Liaise with vendors subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations for E&I materials and services ensuring compliance with project requirements and budget constraints.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and costsaving measures in E&I designs and proposals optimizing project costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Conduct risk assessments and sensitivity analyses to identify potential cost risks and opportunities proposing mitigation strategies to minimize project uncertainties.
- Prepare tender documentation for E&I projects including bills of quantities technical specifications and contractual terms and conditions ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss E&I project requirements clarify technical queries and address client concerns fostering positive relationships and trust.
- Stay updated on industry trends best practices and technological advancements in E&I engineering and estimation methodologies implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure that priority is given to the internal customers complaints and view such complaints as opportunities to build the trust of the said customers.
- Keep a close relationship with internal customers to enhance their trust.
- Create an environment that consistently provides high levels of service to our internal customers and generally speaking to the stakeholders
- Ensure that relevant actions are undertaken timely to avoid overdue.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas and other areas in the Energy Sector.
- Proven experience as an Estimation Engineer specializing in Electrical & Instrumentation projects preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems equipment and materials.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and project documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients vendors and subcontractors.
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in cost estimation and proposal preparation.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards regulations and codes governing E&I engineering and construction.
- Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Adaptability to special projects and/or support to various business units as required
- Strong problemsolving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
