Job Description
A host is responsible for the following duties and tasks:
- Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner
- Engaging with guests who call with questions
- Engaging in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
- Rolling silverware and cleaning menus
- Managing restaurant wait list to ensure guests' expectations of the wait are met
- Sincerely thanking guests as they leave and inviting them to return
- Light cleaning
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of guest service, food service experience preferred
- Able to speak, read and understand English
- Demonstrated ability to interact with guests and fellow team members in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- Able to communicate well
- Able to work well under pressure and with a sense of urgency to meet deadline
- Able to effectively problem solve and analyze information
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
- Able to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Able to have continuous use of hands and arms; continous bending, reaching and twisting
