• Review of security programme submitted from stakeholders.
• Conducts security audits and surveys for existing and future flydubai destinations airport facilities that require the submission of security programme in order to establish any inherent deficiencies existing that are in need of being addressed in the security programme.
• Establish and maintain contacts both internally and externally to gather information on rules, legislations and policies to safeguard the airline.
• Review and update Security Regulations, Directives and Advices as appropriate for dissemination. Initiate special security measures during periods of incidents of increased threats.
• Develop and implement training materials network-wide on operational security standards and procedures (AOSP) in accordance with local and international security legislations ensuring maximum security measures are taken to safeguard passengers, crew, staff and property and ensuring that their safety is not jeopardized by a break down in Security Systems.
• Conduct unannounced inspections of security programme holders to establish the status of compliance at the time of the inspection.
• Coordinate the initial approval of the submitted security programme establishing the standards for compliance.
• Conduct of formal investigations of incidents or reported or observed breaches of the individual security programme holders procedures or approved security programme.
• Liaison with GCAA, Security Inspectors and with foreign governments for security related items.
• Maintain an understanding of all national, international and foreign AVSEC legislation and their amendments/enhancements/changes that may affect flydubai operations in and outside the UAE.
• Assist the Head of Security in carrying out his responsibilities and to carry out any other assignment and mission on his behalf, whenever required.
• Responsible for ensuring airline is in compliance with GCAA and foreign regulations and respond to all violations and investigations.
• Facilities by providing safeguards against unlawful acts of interference, through practices, procedures, analysis and liaison with Police and Security Forces.
