Freight Forwarding Operations Executive (Land & Sea Freight)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Executive to manage and coordinate land and sea freight operations across the Middle East with a strong focus on trade lanes involving Nigeria and Kenya. The ideal candidate will have hands-on freight forwarding experience strong operational knowledge and the ability to manage shipments efficiently from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations for land and sea shipments.
  
• Coordinate import and export shipments across Middle East markets.
  
• Handle shipments to and from Nigeria and Kenya ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  
• Liaise with shipping lines transporters agents customs brokers and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  
• Prepare and review shipping documentation including Bills of Lading manifests invoices packing lists and customs-related documents.
  
• Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates to customers and stakeholders.
  
• Coordinate customs clearance activities and resolve operational issues promptly.
  
• Negotiate rates and work closely with carriers overseas agents and service providers.
  
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs industry regulations and customer requirements.
  
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare shipment reports when required.
  
• Support business development teams with operational and market insights related to the Africa trade lanes.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 35 years of freight forwarding experience specifically in land and sea freight operations.
  
• Proven experience handling Middle East freight forwarding operations.
  
• Strong experience working with Nigeria and Kenya trade lanes and local market requirements.
  
• Good understanding of customs procedures shipping documentation and international logistics processes.
  
• Experience coordinating with overseas agents shipping lines and transport providers.
  
• Strong problem-solving organizational and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and freight forwarding/logistics management systems.
  
• Must be currently based in Dubai UAE.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in African trade routes beyond Nigeria and Kenya.
  
• Existing network of freight forwarding partners agents and carriers.
  
• Knowledge of multimodal transportation and project logistics.
