Carpenter Job Description

Responsibilities

Construct install and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials
Measure cut and shape materials using hand tools and power tools
Read and interpret blueprints drawings and building plans
Install framing flooring doors windows cabinets and trim
Build frameworks such as walls stairways and partitions
Inspect and replace damaged structures or fixtures
Follow building codes and safety standards
Maintain tools equipment and a clean work area
