Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.
We are seeking experienced Locksmiths to support construction and infrastructure operations at Abu Dhabi specifically supporting works at Al Dhafra Air Base (ADAB). This role involves hands-on work in the installation maintenance repair and commissioning of mechanical and electronic locking systems across buildings and secure infrastructure to ensure safety security and compliance with project requirements.
This position is contingent upon contract award. The initial contract duration is three (3) months with potential for extension.
Key responsibilities:
Install maintain and repair mechanical and electronic locking systems door hardware access control components and related security fixtures
Support construction activities involving installation of doors frames locking mechanisms panic hardware and secure entry systems
Re-key locks fabricate keys and configure master key systems as required
Diagnose and repair faults in locks cylinders safes and access control systems
Interpret construction drawings security layouts and hardware schedules
Ensure all locksmith work complies with project specifications safety standards and applicable security protocols
Conduct inspections of installed systems to verify functionality alignment and security compliance
Use specialized locksmith tools calibration equipment and testing devices
Maintain accurate records of installations repairs key issuance and materials used
Work in accordance with strict safety environmental and controlled/military base procedures
Coordinate closely with Construction Managers Supervisors Security Personnel and other trade teams
Maintain cleanliness security and organization of work areas and tool
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in locksmithing construction mechanical trades or security systems preferred
Minimum 35 years of experience as a locksmith preferably in construction facilities or infrastructure projects
Must be eligible for NACI clearance; candidates with prior NACI interim or active SECRET CLEARANCE are strongly preferred
Experience working on U.S. government defense or overseas construction projects is an advantage
Strong understanding of mechanical locks cylinders door hardware and basic electronic access control systems
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings security plans and hardware specifications
Skilled in use of locksmith tools key-cutting machines and diagnostic equipment
Ability to work in remote austere and high-tempo environments
Strong attention to detail confidentiality and commitment to security and quality standards
Must be able to meet base access and deployment requirements
