Job Description
Job Purpose:
Responsible in providing capable assistance in the organization of all pre -mission planning flight plans and flight following. When required supervise the activities of the Operations Control Centre and deputize for the Operations Controller Senior Executive as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing operational pre-flight preparation in accordance with the UAE and foreign government rules and regulations including applicable ICAO procedures company flight operating manuals and corporate policies and procedures.
- Developing reviewing authorizing issuing and revising all operational flight plans for scheduled training and test flight operations in keeping with safety regulatory compliance customer service and corporate requirements.
- Ensure that planning sheet is filled and available at filing cart whenever a new Notice of Confirmed Flight (NCF) is issued; Changes in NCF are carried out immediately with no delay (to include standard and/or diplomatic missions).
- Sending out SMS messages to all concerned for new/changes in flight schedule daily flight schedule summary delay and/or other related issues which may affect the operations.
- Analysing operational conditions identifying limitations on operational capabilities such as but not limited to weather facilities Air Traffic Control Air Traffic Flow aircraft performance and maintenance M.E.L. requirements.
- Analysing operational and meteorological conditions to determine the most efficient and safe minimum fuel requirement in support of both regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Ensuring that flights (including ETOPS) are safely and efficiently planned cleared and monitored in accordance with established standards and regulations.
- Ensure that Post Flight documents are properly entered in Company System; incomplete paperwork should be reported to OCCM for further action.
- Maintain continuous Flight Watch for all Royal Jet Flights. Updating the company system with day of operations (i.e. Flight log; delay; etc.) as necessary.
- Provide the Pilot-in-Command with a thorough flight crew briefing covering all significant information which may affect his flight.
- Transmitting directly or through Royal Jet approved handling agent in the country of operation all ICAO Flight Plan requirements.
- Ensure that required landing and overflight permits are entered in the Company System. If there are permits pending 6 hours prior ETD OCCDH should be notified immediately.
- In the absence of the Operations Controller Initiate the Emergency Callout Procedure and assess and issue Flight Incident Category Reports including the corporate notification process. During irregular operations congruent where practical with the Pilot -in-Command and in discussion with the OCCDH implementing flight delays when conditions warrant recommending flight cancellations and initiating alternative plans.
- Ensure Shift Handover log has been filled of daily weekly or monthly tasks.
- Ensuring that post-flight documents are well received and signed by Crew.
Skills Description
- Minimum 3 experience in Operation Control and Aircraft Dispatch.
- Diploma from a recognized Educational Institute preferably a University Degree
- Must Hold GCAA Dispatch License or equivalent.
- Knowledge on operational compliance in all regulatory environments.
- Must be organized proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written Communication skills.
- Strong planning organizing and integration skills.
- Strong knowledge in the development and implementation of policies & procedures.
- Strong organizational commitment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong drive to grow capabilities.
