Pricing Associate

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and optimize short term rates to maximize trade profitability while delivering on volume utilization and revenue targets
• Collect and optimize input data for pricing models monitor pricing trends and conduct pricing analysis and modelling to enable dynamic and data driven pricing decisions
• Alignment and execution with the frontline organization
• Ensure market relevant rates are offered through digital platforms
• Execution of the trade strategy in line with the trade and global direction
• Share market and customer insights with Global Ocean team to be used for product and network development
• Continuous development and optimization of pricing processes models frameworks and tools
• Drive the use of and support implementation of digital tools
• Development and governance of contracting and quoting policies with the focus on improving customer experience and simplification

Required competencies:

• Analytical mindset
• Strong commercial acumen and customer orientation
• Proven track record of data analysis using Excel and Power BI
• Good communication skills with excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work across levels and geographies
• Proficient in verbal and written English
• Decisiveness and ability to execute and drive for results including being comfortable with taking calculated risks
• Resilience and ability to persist and adapt despite challenges

Additional skills which are preferred:

• Insight into the Liner Shipping industry and trade management
• Theoretical knowledge of revenue management mechanisms and dynamic pricing
• In-depth understanding of marketing specifically competitor and market segmentation analysis
