Role summary and impact
As an Ecommerce Manager you will be working within the Commerce team at WPP and a key responsibility will be the planning and buying of retail media real estate across key eCommerce platforms for top global clients.
- Has a strong understanding of retail prioritization retail planning and execution
- Basic understanding of all biddable retail platforms (Amazon Noon Talabat Carrefour)
- Develops and presents skills in crafting a retail media strategy for the client that is in line with the clients business goals
- Understand the clients business objectives and can translate them into KPIs providing commerce solutions that serve those business needs
- Can independently manage eCommerce media budget campaign planning setup monitoring and optimizations
- Develop a strong relationship with the client and is the go-to point of contact for client commerce health and strategic queries
- Can extract building and present insightful and actionable cross-channel reports that improve the clients business.
- Can cascade strategic thinking into next steps and tasks for his/her team to complete
- Effectively delegate tasks to his/her team to ensure everyone is working at their full capacity
- Training execs and senior execs on technical and client management skills
- Take full ownership of strategic deliverables (QBRs Campaign Reviews Annual reviews) and make sure the committed deadlines are being met
- Demonstrate an understanding of how each client executes their commerce business (i.e. business model operations ROI financial performance and key success factors).
- Contribute to new business pitches by leveraging internal WPP tools and frameworks
- Stays updated on new tools internally and in the market to improve campaign planning executions optimizations and reporting

- 3-5 years experience within the digital/eCommerce media space is preferred.
- Has strong knowledge of Amazon and e-retail merchandising and media capabilities in the Middle East.
- FMCG Retail E-Commerce/Shoppers Market and Direct Response experience is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of various types of media specific but not limited to digital mobile social media digital content partnerships e-commerce and video.
- Proficient in reporting and analytics - strong analytical and strategic thinker who can interpret data at a glance.
- Amazon and commerce training certified
- An entrepreneurial spirit with the operational skills to ensure self-directed projects and ideas are seen through to execution.
- Comfortable working with budgets and numbers.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented.
- Assertive creative team player and proven sense of urgency.
- Ability to priorities multiple demands (retailer client agency) simultaneously.
