We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Project Director to join our Project Management team in Dubai & Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a key leadership role within our organization you will be responsible for overseeing and directing all pre-contract activities for large-scale projects in the construction and engineering sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pre-contract phase of complex projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations
- Develop and implement strategic project plans including risk assessment budgeting and resource allocation
- Negotiate and review contracts with clients subcontractors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare comprehensive project proposals and bid documents
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges
- Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and financial projections for projects
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients partners and regulatory bodies
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations as well as industry best practices
- Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing pre-contract department
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to continuously improve pre-contract processes and outcomes
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management with a focus on pre-contract activities
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale projects in the UAE construction or engineering sector
- In-depth knowledge of contract negotiation risk assessment and budgeting processes
- Strong understanding of UAE construction industry regulations and international contract law
- Proficiency in FIDIC contract forms and other relevant contract structures
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in vertical projects is required
