Welding Inspector

Al Madina Agencies & Services LLC, a prominent player in the Oil and Gas industry, is seeking a Welding Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for monitoring and verifying all welding, fit-up, and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities. Your role will involve ensuring strict compliance with approved codes like ASME, API, and AWS, along with project specifications and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) throughout pre-welding, in-process, and post-weld stages.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review Documents: Verify the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ).

- Monitor Welding Activities: Oversee welding processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

- Conduct Inspections: Perform visual inspections and NDT tests to detect defects and ensure product integrity.

- Document Compliance: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and results for quality assurance purposes.

- Ensure Safety: Enforce safety protocols and best practices to prevent workplace incidents.

- Collaborate: Work closely with welding teams, engineers, and project managers to address quality concerns and resolve issues effectively.

Requirements & Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection in the Oil and Gas sector.

- Knowledge of ASME, API, and AWS codes and standards.

- Proficiency in conducting NDT tests and interpreting results.

- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.

- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

- Certification in welding inspection (e.g., AWS CWI) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.

- Additional certifications in NDT techniques.

- Experience with onshore and offshore projects.
