Welder Supervisor

Al Madina Agencies & Services LLC, a key player in the Oil and Gas industry, is seeking a Welder Supervisor for our operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Welder Supervisor with a mechanical background, you will oversee welding crews and fabrication tasks, ensuring compliance with strict codes such as ASME, API, or AWS, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and schedule welders, fitters, and riggers, assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and manage shift logs or overtime.

• Verify joint preparation, root gaps, alignment, and preheating; ensure full adherence to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

• Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (RT, UT, MT, PT) with QA/QC inspectors, review test reports, issue Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) for defects, and oversee weld repairs.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, piping isometrics, and welding symbols to guide shop or field fabrication.

• Inspect welding machines, power sources, electrode ovens, and gas supplies, ensuring proper calibration and daily setup.

Requirements & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding supervision in the Oil and Gas industry.

• Proficiency in overseeing fabrication projects in both onshore and offshore environments.

• Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS).

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, piping isometrics, and welding symbols accurately.

• Experience in coordinating Non-Destructive Testing (RT, UT, MT, PT) activities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a diverse workforce effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Welding Inspection or related field.

• Previous experience working in a similar supervisory role in the Oil and Gas sector.
