As our operations continue to grow we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Officer to help ensure that materials components and equipment are available accurately controlled and handled safely across our operations.
The role
The Warehouse Officer will oversee the day-to-day warehouse operation and take responsibility for the accurate receipt storage tracking and issue of materials. The role requires someone with strong warehouse management experience who can lead and organise a team maintain reliable inventory records and coordinate effectively with internal departments.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production Assembly Integration & Testing (AIT) Procurement Planning Quality and Finance to support operational requirements and maintain effective inventory control.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving inspection coordination put-away storage picking issuing dispatch and returns.
- Organise and supervise the warehouse team assign daily priorities and monitor the completion of tasks.
- Ensure that all stock movements are accurately and promptly recorded in the ERP system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly identified stored and traceable.
- Plan and conduct cycle counts and physical stocktakes investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production AIT Procurement and Planning to support material availability and production requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages excess damaged obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
- Ensure that materials components tools consumables and finished goods are stored under appropriate conditions.
- Maintain warehouse security housekeeping and safe working practices in line with company procedures and applicable HSE requirements.
- Ensure warehouse documentation including goods received notes delivery records issue notes and transfer records is complete and accurate.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes inventory accuracy and service to internal departments.
- Train and guide warehouse employees on warehouse procedures ERP transactions material handling and housekeeping standards.
- Prepare regular updates on stock accuracy material availability discrepancies and warehouse operational issues.
- Coordinate deliveries collections and inter-site transfers with internal teams and external service providers.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 5 years of relevant warehouse experience with a proven track record of independently managing warehouse operations inventory control and team coordination.
- Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse staff and coordinating daily warehouse activities.
- Experience in a manufacturing engineering aerospace aviation or other technical environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP or warehouse management system. Odoo experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control stocktaking material traceability and warehouse documentation.
- A degree or diploma in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
