Job Description: UPS Service Technician

Position Overview:

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of UPS systems chargers inverters and associated equipment.
  
• Perform repairs and troubleshooting of UPS systems and related components ensuring minimal downtime.
  
• Interpret technical diagrams blueprints and schematics to diagnose effectively and resolve technical issues.
  
• Coordinate with service manager to prioritize and manage repair tasks ensuring timely completion.
  
• Monitor pending repairs and follow up to ensure they are addressed within the committed timeframe.
  
• Prepare and submit daily reports to the service manager detailing completed tasks ongoing projects and any issues encountered.
  
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance and repair activities.
  
• Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  
• Minimum 35 years of experience in the UPS or Power Electronics industry.
  
• Proficiency in handling UPS systems battery chargers telecom rectifiers battery systems and automatic power factor correction panels.
  
• Strong understanding of electrical/electronic principles and components.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams blueprints and schematics.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  
• Detailoriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
