Requirements
- Medical Degree: Specialist Qualification in Thoracic Surgery.
- Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery from a recognized medical board is necessary.
- Specialized Training: Completion of an accredited residency program in General Surgery typically lasting 5 years followed by additional fellowship training in Thoracic Surgery typically lasting 23 years.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3 years of postresidency experience in Thoracic Surgery practice including surgical rotations fellowships or equivalent training.
- Licensure: Valid medical license to practice as a Thoracic Surgeon in the designated location. Must be in good standing with relevant licensing authorities.
- Ethical and Professional Conduct: Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct in patient care research and all aspects of surgical practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
