As we look towards our future and anticipate our growth, we are interested in meeting Entry-Level Technical Training Developers / Instructional Designers to work on projects with our training

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Entry-Level Junior Technical Training Developer / Instructional Designer is a short-term contract and a great way to start your career in instructional

The role works closely with our senior instructional designers and develops course materials in support of our client s technology implementation You will create new training documents and modules as well as re-work existing training materials to facilitate successful learning outcomes and objectives for end

Highlights of the role include:

• Work with senior instructional designers and subject matter experts to understand content of training from an end user perspective and identify target material requirements to target audience s training needs
  
• Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games ) and instructional graphics to visualize how the user will interface with the process and solution
  
• Format PowerPoint documents
  
• Test training exercises
  
• Create and load data into training environment
  
• Conduct research and analysis on learner s content/context and seek out the appropriate resources necessary to support the development and delivery of learning activities
  
• Maintain project documentation and course folders
  
• Execute a variety of administrative, clerical, and technical functions to assist the senior instructional designers
  

• You are comfortable quickly engaging with and creating new team Able to adapt and be flexible to the needs of a team member
  
• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and independent while at the same time a keen, connected team contributor
  
• Able to leverage well-developed organization and planning skills to meet deadlines unfailingly and deliver
  
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities as is common on technical implementation projects
  
• High degree of attention to the details
  
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills along with the ability to communicate ideas You enjoy designing, developing, writing and refining online and print material
  
• Strong aptitude or demonstrate interest in technology and Experience with authoring skills (Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator) is an asset
  
• Experience developing instructional / training materials would be an asset
  
• Degree, diploma or certificate in technical writing, instructional design, educational technology or similar an asset
  
• Access to your own suitable workspace and computer and willingness to work in North American time zones other than your own as this role will work remotely for the duration of the project
  
• Part-time (20 hours per week) and full time opportunities exist)
