Job Summary
DAC SWIMMING TEACHER
Dubai Autism Center is seeking a qualified and dedicated swimming teacher to join our team and provide safe structured and individualized swimming instruction to children with autism and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct swimming lessons tailored to each childs abilities and individual needs.
- Ensure the safety and proper supervision of all students during swimming sessions.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate swimming activities.
- Use positive reinforcement and adapted teaching strategies.
- Monitor and document students swimming progress.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with parents.
- Ensure compliance with DACs safeguarding and pool safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Recognized Swimming Teacher/Instructor certification (Level 2 or equivalent).
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid lifeguard or recognized aquatic safety qualification as required.
- Minimum of 2 years of swimming teaching experience preferably with children.
- Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
- Strong swimming proficiency and demonstrated water safety skills.
- Patience professionalism and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in adaptive swimming or swimming instruction for individuals with disabilities.
- Educational background in Physical Education Education or a related field.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
