Supervise mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for rotating equipment static equipment piping and mechanical packages ensuring safe and reliable start-up.
- Lead technicians and subcontractors executing mechanical commissioning activities at site.
- Prepare rotating equipment for first start-up including shipping-lock removal lubrication alignment greasing packing and strainer checks.
- Monitor equipment condition including vibration lubrication seals gland packing and bearings.
- Supervise lube-oil flushing alignment vibration checks equipment preservation and maintenance after start-up.
- Verify the installation of static-equipment internals against approved drawings and specifications.
- Support air blowing flushing leak testing flange management drying inerting pipeline pigging mechanical interlocks spring-support
- Apply applicable valve testing and repair standards including API ASME NBBI ISO BS and ANSI.
- Arrange PTW LOTO PPE toolbox talks and SIMOPS controls; maintain testing dossiers and commissioning records.
- Monitor progress manpower tools and spares and coordinate technical issues with engineering construction HSE and vendors.
- Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
- Strong field experience in rotating equipment static equipment piping and mechanical packages.
- Experience supervising technicians operators and subcontractors.
Required Skills:
Requirements 6 years of EIT site/construction experience with international Oil & Gas EPC companies/subcontractors. Electrical Instrumentation or Telecom construction background. Middle East CIS/FSU or North Africa experience preferred. Experience working with diverse international teams. Good knowledge of NEC/NFPA IEEE NEMA and IEC standards. Strong troubleshooting and subcontractor management skills. PTW LOTO and Arc Flash training; ATEX preferred.
