Job Summary

Supervise instrumentation and control-system commissioning activities including SAT loop testing and functional testing in accordance with project quality and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise SAT loop checks functional testing and troubleshooting for field instruments and control systems.
  • Lead technicians and subcontractors working on APC DCS PLC ESD and associated interfaces.
  • Prepare and verify testing dossiers drawings control narratives cause-and-effect documents procedures and test records.
  • Apply control strategies including PI/PID cascade and split-range control together with alarm management principles.
  • Ensure commissioning procedures are followed and all test results and system records are complete and accurate.
  • Arrange PPE PTW toolbox talks LOTO barricading and access controls and manage commissioning risks and SIMOPS.
  • Monitor manpower progress tools and spares and coordinate available work fronts with other disciplines.
  • Investigate system defects and coordinate corrective action with engineering QA/QC construction HSE and vendors.

  • Engineering degree or diploma in Instrumentation Electronics or Control Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience in instrument commissioning loop testing SAT and functional testing.
  • Experience supervising commissioning technicians and subcontractors.



Required Skills:

Requirements 6 years of EIT site/construction experience with international Oil & Gas EPC companies/subcontractors. Electrical Instrumentation or Telecom construction background. Middle East CIS/FSU or North Africa experience preferred. Experience working with diverse international teams. Good knowledge of NEC/NFPA IEEE NEMA and IEC standards. Strong troubleshooting and subcontractor management skills. PTW LOTO and Arc Flash training; ATEX preferred.
