Structural Analysis Engineer

People Hive is supporting a client in the search for an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to perform structural assessments and support the development testing and certification of aircraft structures.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both composite and metallic structures with practical experience in finite element analysis (FEA) hand calculations and structural substantiation. The successful candidate will work closely with design manufacturing integration and testing teams to ensure structural integrity performance and compliance with applicable aerospace requirements.

The role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace projects engaging with multidisciplinary engineering and testing teams to contribute to safe efficient and certifiable aircraft designs.

Critical Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in aircraft structural analysis or a related aerospace engineering field
• Strong hands-on experience in structural hand calculations finite element analysis (FEA) and structural substantiation of composite and metallic aircraft structures
• Good understanding of composite materials laminate behaviour and applicable failure criteria
• Strong knowledge of metallic structures joints fasteners and bonded structures

Important Requirements

• Experience with Siemens NX / Simcenter Femap or similar finite element analysis software
• Good understanding of aerospace manufacturing assembly and structural integration processes
• Strong analytical problem-solving and technical communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and testing teams

Nice to Have

Experience in structural testing test-analysis correlation and validation activities

Previous experience with UAVs eVTOLs or prototype aircraft development
