- Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned NPD projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work includes primarily mechanical engineering.
- Leading teams of engineers and designers on NPD projects, conducting team on calculations, FEA, mechanical design, BOM definition, system definition, test procedures, and engineering adherence to schedule and budget.
- Applying existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems, or processes. Viewed internally and externally as a specialist in API 6A products and new product development processes.
- Creating and maintains projects plans, technical roadmaps, technical risks, and product recommendations. Is confident presenting this information to senior business leaders within SPC and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams.
- Communicating solutions across engineering and with cross-functional partner organizations. Mentors and trains other engineers within SPC.
- Preparing and conducts design reviews for NPD projects. Chairs design reviews for other engineering teams.
