Job Description
- Manages and oversees design consultants to ensure that design work remains on schedule, within budget and expectations.
- Coordinates design phase activities/deliverables with architects, engineers, sub-consultants, stakeholders, agencies, relevant authorities, tenants, etc. relative to the project infrastructure design.
- Chairs and conducts design progress and coordination meetings, prepares agendas, coordinates presentation material and prepares meeting minutes for same.
- Closely liaises with PMC Engineering Support, Design Managers, and/or Construction Managers of interfacing projects during deliverable reviews to ensure quality, completeness and expectations for design deliverable documentation.
- Ensures timely issuance of multiple construction tender packages.
- Coordinates constructability reviews, value engineering exercises and construction submittal reviews by consultants.
- Reviews and provides input on variations and change orders relating to design.
- Manages validation of record documents and post occupancy evaluations.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position during construction as required.
