Specific Responsibilities of the position

Conduct scheduled service calls

Make online PLC programming changes for machine

Troubleshoot controls and electrical equipment at the customer s facility; execute the necessary adjustments to bring equipment up to running status

Supervise operators and maintenance personnel in testing, tuning and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum machine functionality

Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/controls equipment and make necessary adjustments where required

Perform training for operator, mechanical and electrical trades

Required Skills and Abilities

Excellent mechanical, electrical and fluid power troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and fluid power prints

Ability to align spindles, slides, fixtures, and tables

Ability to accurately disassemble and re-assemble mechanical assemblies

Knowledgeable of Siemens PLC software (Step7 and Distributed Safety) and Allen Bradley (Rockwell)

Knowledgeable of HMI programming, industrial I/O devices (and networks, servo motors & controllers, and vision systems

Excellent mechanical, electrical and fluid power troubleshooting skills

Strong communication skills

Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and

Required Education and Experience

Engineering degree or equivalent applied engineering

Five years minimum experience in machine assembly, electrical and fluid controls debug in the machine tool
