MDG is hiring! We are seeking an Assistant Media Buyer to join the team.

Our ideal candidate will assist the senior media planner in the execution and daily management of media buys for clients. You will be heavily involved in the process of setting up and launching media buys both online and offline, corresponding with vendors, negotiating rates, managing traffic, and invoice reconciliation.

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of ongoing media campaigns, reporting back to the senior media planner
  
• Utilize analytical skills to compile data, create reports, and perform campaign optimizations based on the findings
  
• Prepare insertion orders per approved media budgets
  
• Ensure proper execution of media plans by monitoring buys/schedules
  
• Negotiate rates
  
• Managing and changing out traffic
  
• Campaign optimizations
  
• Establish professional rapport with sales representatives and keep up-to-date on category and industry trends
  
• Monthly invoice reconciliation
  
• Perform monthly or as-needed reporting for the clients and account team, providing insight into performance
  

Requirements

• BA degree in advertising/marketing or related field
  
• Minimum 3 years of media-buying experience at an advertising agency
  
• Demonstrate understanding of media fundamentals, including media math
  
• Experience placing both traditional and digital media buys, including but not limited to; broadcast TV, cable, CTV, OOH, display, and streaming audio
  
• Analytical skills and assembling performance reports
  
• Experience working with vendors and negotiating rates
  

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting easily to changes in requests
  
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently and with a team
