- Guidelines and escalates when necessary
- Promotes health and provides education to the woman and her family by communicating relevant information effectively, using language that is readily understood.
- Provides full detailed information to all expectant parents on the packages and services available, paying attention to clinical requirements and financial considerations.
- Checks the booked pregnant women, informs them on the availability of the antenatal classes and assists them in booking the classes, and liaising with insurance, cashier to learn about the packages.
- Visits the antenatal women in the Female Ward and provides them with the education according to their needs.
- Organizes and provides Antenatal education, Birth plan discussion, Maternity tours (including the Female Ward, Labour & Delivery (L&D), Operating Theatre, Emergency Room, NICU and the VIP suites (if required).
- Receives phone calls from women to answer clinical related questions, and Breastfeeding advice.
- Provides support/counseling service to expectant parents, with referral to clinical specialists as required.
- As required, provides engagement with the community of Sharjah for the maternity services available at UHS, including corporate clients, community groups and social clubs.
