Job Purpose Strategize, lead, direct & review “best-in-class” quality systems to ensure the definition & conformance to quality standards with the objective of ensuring highest quality standards are maintained Lead R&D initiatives to improve existing products & create new products to complement existing lines and categories as per market requirements Principal Accountabilities Strategic • Develop, implement, communicate & maintain a quality plan to maintain company’s quality systems & policies into compliance with quality system requirements. • Ensure compliance with national & international standards & legislation • Manage and coordinates research and development activities. Operational • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff. • Ensuring tests & procedures are properly understood, carried out & evaluated and product modifications are investigated if necessary • Formulate & manage the development & implementation of goals. Objectives, policies, procedures, & systems pertaining to QA/QC • Work with purchasing staff to establish product & quality requirements from external suppliers • Coordinate and contribute to the effective execution of external audits conducted by government authorities / other quality institutions • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal sections and external entities • Analyze, seek information & direct corrective actions on all non-conforming product/process performances as per • Keep abreast of latest technologies, systems, and quality control practices. • Analyze, document & resolve customer complaints on services/products in time • Setting up & maintaining control & documentation procedures • Prepare reports of the research that has been performed and make presentations in front of senior management. • Develops and implement methods and procedures for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports. People • Bring together staff of different disciplines & driving the group to plan, formulate, & agree comprehensive quality procedures • Identify relevant quality related training needs & deliver training • Supervision and management of all staff under QCQA, R&D Departments
Minimum Requirements Education & Experience • 5-8 years’ experience in quality assurance/control management in the Food & Beverage industry with at least 3-4 years in a managerial role. Special Knowledge: • Inspecting products in a manufacturing environment • Experience in Quality management in the Food & Beverages Industry
