A top health company in Plano, TX is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team through Precise Technical Staffing. If you are a Senior Accountant who values a collaborative work environment, this role might be for you!
As a member of an empowered accounting team, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including:
- Record and review monthly revenue and accounts receivable journal entries.
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Administer Practice Management Systems, including setup for new Provider IDs.
- Prepare month-end accruals for lab supplies and doctor compensation.
- Execute month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Analyze P&L trends, identify variances, and prepare related journal entries.
- Integrate newly acquired locations into the back office.
- Contribute to the month, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
- Support the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Strong team player mentality and customer-focused.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and automated accounting systems.
