QA/QC Inspector (Welding)

At Al Madina Agencies & Services LLC, we are a leading company in the Oil and Gas industry based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We are currently seeking a dedicated QA/QC Inspector (Welding) to join our team. As a QA/QC Welding Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and adherence to standards of welding activities in mechanical oil and gas projects, both onshore and offshore. Your responsibilities will include verifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), testing welder qualifications (WQT), inspecting joint fit-ups, monitoring welding parameters, and reviewing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports.

Key Responsibilities:

- Verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to ensure compliance with project requirements

- Conduct welder qualification tests (WQT) and maintain records of qualified welders

- Inspect and approve joint fit-ups and welding processes

- Monitor welding parameters and address deviations to maintain quality standards

- Review and analyze Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports for weld quality assessment

- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve any welding-related issues

Requirements & Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC inspection within the oil and gas industry

- In-depth knowledge of welding standards, codes, and practices

- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections

- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders

- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

- Certification in welding inspection (e.g., AWS, CSWIP) is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field

- Additional certifications in welding or quality control
