PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

Were currently looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager to join our team.

In this role youll be responsible for managing our inhouse team as well as overseeing all our communication initiatives on a regional and international scale.

As a PR Manager youll primarily be expected to develop a strong industry network increase our brand awareness as well as develop an enviable corporate image developing and executing effective communication and media relations program.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and devising our organizations marketing communications plan which includes developing our marketing and communications strategy goals budget and tactics

• Developing our organizations media relations strategy and seeking highlevel placements in print broadcast and online media

• Coordinating all public relations activities.

• Directing the social media team to engage our regional and international target audiences across traditional and new media resources.

• Leveraging existing media relationships and cultivating new contacts within the media industry.

• Managing all media inquiries and interview requests

• Manage all aspects of media relations including pitching stories writing press releases and coordinating interviews

• Building and maintaining relationships with key media contacts

• Lead crisis communication efforts and handle any negative publicity effectively

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels

• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for proactive PR initiatives

• Creating content for press releases byline articles and keynote presentations

• Monitoring analyzing and communicating PR results on a quarterly basis

• Evaluating and seeking new opportunities for partnerships sponsorships and advertising on an ongoing basis.

• Building relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness

• Maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding to communications strategy.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate must:

• Proven working experience in public relations required

• Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level

• Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets

• Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews

• Exceptional writing and editing skills

• Solid experience with social media including blogs Facebook Twitter etc

• Event planning experience

• BA/MA degree in Marketing Advertising Communications or a related discipline
