Job Description

The Department of Media Communication at American University of Sharjah is seeking early- to mid-career scholars to fill full-time faculty positions, commencing in Fall 2024. Successful candidates must hold a doctoral degree in communication or a related field from a reputable university, and they should demonstrate a robust research agenda. Applicants should be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: integrated marketing communication, digital media, media theory, and/or other communication courses, including social media, content creation and media planning. While prior experience in teaching advertising and public relations is advantageous, preference will be given to those who exhibit proficiency in teaching a diverse range of courses within the department’s curriculum, and who can effectively bridge theoretical knowledge with skills-based instruction. A strong commitment to teaching students from diverse cultural and national backgrounds is expected.
