Job Summary

Our client a growing consumer-focused business in Dubai is actively seeking a commercially sharp Product & Category Manager with a strong understanding of consumer demand product discovery buying category management and commercial analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Product & Category Management

Identify new products brands and category opportunities relevant to target consumers.
Track global and regional trends across retail social media Amazon Noon and other marketplaces.
Research marketplace demand best sellers competitor products pricing reviews and category gaps.
Identify products with strong potential across e-commerce and marketplace channels.
Develop and manage category assortments including hero products core ranges and trend-led opportunities.
Monitor category performance and identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
Maintain an active pipeline of new product and category opportunities.

Sourcing & Supplier Management

Source products and suppliers locally and internationally.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Negotiate pricing MOQs payment terms and other commercial terms.
Evaluate supplier capabilities pricing quality and commercial viability.
Explore opportunities for private-label and owned-product development.

Commercial Analysis & Buying

Build commercial cases for new products considering selling price landed cost margin demand competition MOQ and inventory investment.
Recommend initial buying quantities based on market demand and commercial potential.
Manage replenishment based on sales stock cover and demand.
Monitor sell-through inventory turnover stock availability and ageing inventory.
Identify high-performing products and recommend increased investment.
Identify underperforming products and recommend optimization markdown or exit strategies.
Work closely with E-commerce and Sales teams to understand customer demand and product performance.

Knowledge & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Supply Chain Retail Management or a related field.
5 years of experience in buying category management merchandising product management or product-led retail.
Experience in consumer products such as toys lifestyle gifting beauty accessories fashion tech accessories or related categories is preferred.
Strong product and trend awareness.
Strong commercial and numerical ability.
Proven experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
Good understanding of margin pricing forecasting inventory and sell-through.
Comfortable using e-commerce and marketplace data to make product decisions.
Strong analytical and Excel skills.
Experience with Amazon/Noon product research international sourcing or private-label development is an advantage.
Curious proactive commercially aware and able to independently identify opportunities.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
