Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Engineering Structural Engineering

The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated postdoctoral associate to work under the supervision of professor Khaled Shahin in structural mechanics, with emphasis on fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites. The successful applicant must have a strong background in the area of structural mechanics with emphasis on FRP composite materials. Familiarity with testing, manufacturing, or modeling of FRP composites is a plus. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists and undergraduate students. In addition to conducting high-quality innovative research, responsibilities also include publishing research findings in scientific journals and conferences, mentoring undergraduate students, and participate in drafting research grant proposals.
