Responsibilities
- Developing and maintain procedures and documentation for databases.
- Identifying, evaluating and managing the adoption of appropriate database administration tools and processes, including automation
- Contributing to the setting of standards for definition, security and integrity of database objects and ensures conformance to these standards
- Managing database configuration including installing and upgrading software and maintaining relevant documentation.
- Monitoring database activity and resource usage.
- Optimizing database performance and plans for forecast resource needs
Qualifications
- Provide a day-to-day on-site support for the client's internal application teams
- Administering 300 Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c instances on Linux RedHat servers with VMWare virtualization, 97 MySQL 5.6 and 5.7 databases on 74 Linux RedHat servers with VMWare virtualization
- Supporting application releases, changes implementation, refreshes automation in Shell, troubleshooting, performance tuning
- Participating in on-call for Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL and Sybase technologies.
- Experience with Oracle Dataguard and ASM
