Smarter HR Solutions is looking to hire a dependable, 4-year degreed, administrative professional as a Scribe/Administrative Transcriptionist (bilingual English/Spanish a plus) to work with a stable and growing Oil and Gas company! Our clients main office is located in Clear Lake, TX, but this is a high-travel position. Only candidates with extreme flexibility are encouraged to apply. Once trained, this will transfer into a hybrid position (3 days in office/2 days remote).


Responsibilities:
  • Transcribe discovery meetings in English (and Spanish, if applicable), create discovery meeting reports and summaries and make corrections or changes as noted.
  • Required to travel (overnight) 1 to 4 week(s) a month. Travel is normally departing (via plane) Sunday evening and returning the following Friday.
  • Utilize excellent grammar, spelling and sentence structure in English (and Spanish, if applicable) in report writing and conversing with clients.
  • Work with word processing, spreadsheets, and computer software.
  • Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality according to company standards and government regulations
  • Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact client risk and liability
  • Utilize templates and enter data for record-keeping and archives


Requirements


  • A 4-year degree from an accredited institution or at least 5 years of administrative or relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Advanced typing and grammar skills in English (and Spanish, if applicable)
  • Ability to navigate between multiple computer programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and Spanish, if applicable)
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Punctual and reliable disposition
  • Superb listening and time management skills
  • Able to type at least 45 WPM
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Some industrial knowledge, construction, or previous oil and gas experience is a PLUS.
