Job Description
Education and training:
Degree in computer science or related field. Recognized networking certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS) are a valuable addition.
Experience:
Previous experience in managing and maintaining networks, preferably diverse and including different types of networks.
Network design:
Network design skills and the ability to identify company needs and provide effective network solutions.
Network technology:
Deep knowledge of networking technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and others.
Network security:
An understanding of network security concepts and security measures such as firewalls and communications encryption.
