We are looking to fill a full time Foundry Manager position with a manufacturer located in the area of Hagerstown, Indiana.

MUST HAVES

A manager or superintendent level background in Foundry IS REQUIRED TO APPLY.

SALARY RANGE

$120k to $130k per year

Plus full relocation

SUMMARY

Plan, direct, and coordinate all manufacturing and related service functions to achieve efficient and economical plant operations which fulfill customer quality and delivery expectation and Company profit objectives. Ensure all safety, quality, and productivity processes and procedures are followed within areas of responsibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, establish, and administer short and long term manufacturing and operating plans to meet established goals and objectives. Ensure adherence to established manufacturing plans and policies.

Coordinate and expedite manufacturing operations including such matters as production scheduling, engineering, procurement, production operations, tooling and maintenance. Employ proper motivating techniques and delegate appropriate authority to department managers to accomplish goals and objectives.

Maintain close supervision over production operations through direct reports to maintain coordination and control of production operations across departments and all shifts. Maintain conformance with budget, and proper utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities. Counsel, coach and develop supervisors and nonexempt employees. Ensure that all departments follow established guidelines for safety, production, quality, and environmental quality.

Optimize production schedules and meet quality and cost standards. Maximize production efficiency and continuously seek to reduce the cost of operations by developing new, and refining current processes and utilizing the work force more efficiently.

Oversee and direct the preparation of operating budgets for plant departments. Administer budgets and monitor budget compliance during the business year, taking appropriate corrective action in the event of a budget variance.

Oversee and coordinate various programs and functions which are essential to the manufacturing process, such as safety, training, housekeeping, and wage and salary administration.

Maintain an adequate work force to fulfill production requirements.

Lead and pursue strategies to enhance employee morale and maintain union-free environment and to maximize production efficiency.

Oversee efforts which ensure conformance with Company work rules and regulations.

Oversee efforts which encourage the use of safety equipment and devices while encouraging proper housekeeping to produce a safe work environment. Coach employees to eliminate hazardous condition and work practices.

Maintain awareness of improved operational methods, production processes, or equipment which improve quality and productivity and reduce waste.

Preferred experience

Requires bachelor degree in Business Administration or Engineering, or equivalent.

Seven to ten years experience in foundry operations.
