MEP Engineer Electrical

Perform electrical design, perform relevant calculations and supervise activities related to electrical and/or low voltage systems on site.
Prepare detailed designs, diagrams, partitions and coordination drawings.
Supervise the MEP Draftsman, ensuring adherence to company standards through reviews, corrections and providing guidance.
Communicating with the authorities, submitting reports and obtaining approvals from the relevant authorities.
Review and approve/comment on shop drawings, coordination drawings, work method statements, and materials submission.
Collaborate with team members, including site supervisors, foremen and inspectors, to achieve project objectives within agreed timelines, managing sub-contracts where appropriate.
Address and resolve complexities with customer representatives, sub-consultants, manufacturing departments, subcontractors and suppliers.
Develop project specifications in collaboration with various disciplines, both within the company/contractors and client side.
Conduct physical inspections and site surveys at various locations, if necessary.
Prepare and maintain project documents such as correspondence, meeting minutes and notes in accordance with agreed deliverables.
Allocate, distribute and follow up on tasks within the team, while ensuring the quality of work produced.
Provide advice on cost-effective equipment modifications to enhance safety, reliability and productivity.
Develop workflow and procedures for the MEP department using research, analytical, conceptual, and planning skills.
Attend technical training sessions related to MEP / Revit modeling, stay updated with modern practices and implement them as per company requirements.
Support the department in technical interviews while contributing to the development of the Mechanical Engineering Department based on new resource requirements.
Depending on operational requirements, be ready to be deployed to any of the Emirates and assigned to different departments as needed.
Required profile of candidates
1) Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
2) A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction/fit-out industry in the UAE is required
3) Valid UAE driving license
