Job Description

- Ensures on a daily basis that all vehicles are clean and maintained in good working condition.
- Carries out checking of vehicles and performs any necessary repairs, attends to complaints reported by HVD. Suggests repairs/modifications as necessary
- Carries out scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance on all vehicles as per schedule.
- Takes vehicles to outside workshops for repairs and other jobs and brings them back.
- Maintains records of all periodical and major repairs as well as records of all vehicles and vehicle parts and accessories.
- Ensures that all tools and equipment are maintained in proper working condition.
- Ensures good housekeeping and cleanliness in the garage and tanker parking areas.
- Keeps proper inventory of spares consumables for vehicle maintenance and submits timely requisitions for replenishment
- Recording gas oil inventory on weekly basis and replenishment..
- Performs necessary checks and ensures timely re-registration of vehicles.
- Carries out vehicle emission checks as per schedule
- Monitors tyre wear and ensures timely replacements.
- To report unsafe conditions of vehicles
- Attends On road break downs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Operates as HVD in exigencies
