Job Requirement:

• Candidate with in Mechanical with 8-10 years of experience preferably in Battery/Automotive
• Good understanding on product development life cycle and various development gateways
• Experience: Optimally previous production or product engineering experience

Job Summary:

• Understanding of complete product development cycle .Product development cycles from design to manufacturing
• Knowledge of different mechanical and packaging concepts for batteries
• Should have strong knowledge on Plastic, Sheet Metal components
• Understanding of Jigs, fixtures and Tooling for multiple applications
• Understanding of CAD software like SolidWorks / Pro-E / CATIA
• Understanding on mechanical and production drawings
• Hands on experience of various measurement equipment like profile projector, VC, MM…
• Coordination with cross-functional department, suppliers for development
• Work closely with design teams to troubleshoot issues and proposed improvement solution
• Support in critical vendor development in collaboration with SQA team
• Support team as required in the assembly of battery prototyping & manufacturing
• Knowledge product bill of material (BOM) & Change Management ( ECN/ECR)
• Understanding of DFMEA & DFM
• Knowledge of safety and test standards of Lithium-Ion traction battery
• Cost Optimization through VA/VE and Benchmarking
• Good communication skills
• Strong documentation and writing skills
• Mechanical system experience related to HV battery design is preferred
