Job Description

- Directs daily activities of Caregivers and plans for efficient operation in the Oncology Pharmacy
- Supervises and schedules Caregivers in assigned areas
- Assists Caregivers in solving operational and professional challenges
- Participates in the interviews, selects, hires, trains, and evaluates pharmacists and technicians
- Ensures departmental compliance with MOH and HAAD rules and regulations and with JCI standards
- Liaises with medical and nursing Caregivers to coordinate pharmacy activities and to assist in the resolution of interdepartmental problems
- Solicits opinions, new ideas and recommendations from the pharmacists and support personnel
- Reviews policies and procedures, and makes revisions and recommendations as required
- Ensures proper inventory of supplies is maintained and responsible for annual budget preparation
- Ensures compliance with insurance companies’ regulations
- Measures and re-calibrates performance metrics set to achieve organizational targets, as indicated
- Generates financial reports, including yearly budget of pharmaceuticals and supplies for oncology pharmacy services
- Contributes to the advancement of the professional through presentations and local, national, and international meetings
