- Conducts market research and develops a good feeling for the market
- Contracts with health care providers (hospitals and medical centers)
- Builds up the Provider Network (determines the provider mix and distribution)
- Manages and improves the medical network.
- Develops and maintains policies & procedures for all administrative processes in the Dept.
- Develops and introduces quality assurance programs and a fraud & abuse management process.
- Develops and maintains monthly statistical reports to facilitate benchmarking and performance management in relation to business goals and objectives.
- Produces periodical reports on the department’s overall operations.
- Reviews and compares periodic reports and suggests action plans to keep up with the required growth and profitability.
- Ensures that policies and procedures are available and being followed by staff members.
- Ensures that processes and procedures are coordinated with other departments.
- Ensures that business decisions and processes are documented in a professional way.
- Co-ordinates with other GIG-Kuwait operations with regard to benchmarking and ‘best practices’.
