Learning Development Manager

Job Details

Position Summary The Learning and Development Manager will work directly with the Director of HR to create and execute our organizations learning & development strategy. This will include assessment of developmental needs, creation of training programs, launching of a new LMS, and continuous improvements to the strategy.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Conducts employee training and development needs assessment to identify target training areas and KPI’s
• Prepares and implements learning strategies and programs for team development
• Obtains and deploys effective learning methods companywide٫ such as in-person training, coaching٫ job-shadowing٫ online training, etc.
• Creates and organizes e-learning courses٫ workshops and other training
• Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
• Records and reports training courses through the Learning Management System to monitor effectiveness of development plans to ensure employees make the most of learning opportunities
• Collaborates with managers to develop their team members through career pathing
• Oversees budgets and negotiates contracts
• Organizes hiring and training activities
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business Management, HR, or related field
• 3+ years of experience within learning & development
• Experience getting a Learning Management System (LMS) off the ground
• Strong experience with both e-learning and in person trainings
• Comfortable with occasional travel
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within learning & development
• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
